Wood drying complex: 4 × KSV120-10 A

We implemented a large-scale project for one of the largest furniture manufacturers — a wood drying complex consisting of four chambers with a total capacity of 480 m³. The complex was designed specifically to process hardwoods, which require exceptional precision in maintaining temperature and humidity conditions. At the customer’s request, the automation systems were built using Italian LOGIKA controllers. The project’s key technological feature is its unprecedented energy efficiency: the plant’s cogeneration unit’s cooling circuit serves as the primary heat source. In combination with our SPAL system, this allowed us to minimize energy costs while ensuring optimal drying speed. This approach makes production not only cost-effective but also as environmentally friendly as possible, since it utilizes excess heat that was previously simply dissipated into the air.
